Doing anything to celebrate?

Nah, it’s just a nice relief to be honest @Jynx  and cause we are pretty much packed and ready to go, we can have a chilled few days in the lead up to getting the keys and moving! We will hire a van Friday and Saturday and move what we can and then get removalists in on Sunday. Clean old house Monday and hand keys back Tuesday (just in time cause that’s the last day of the extension they gave us)

I was telling @Snowie  earlier @Jynx  that we nearly didn’t get it. For some reason they didn’t think we couldn’t move in straight away and the LL wanted someone in this week. So I’m glad I messaged the lady to see how our app was going and told her no, we can move like tomorrow! We are packed and ready! 

I am decorating in my head…. And in many online carts! 😂

how was the rest of your weekend? Did you get some sorting and organizing done?

Err... I did some vacuuming? Does that count? lol 

Oh! And I decided on how I'm gonna do the Big Sort - cos I reckon it'll have to be over a couple of days!!

Them bright colours I posted last week? That’s for the lounge/ dining area. We already have a cool green couch. Retro-ish pops of colour. 
I bought a new quilt cover months ago, but decided not to put it on while I had the kittens. It’s a dark green floral print. But I get the ensuite! And I’m gonna go with purple. And then we got heaps of space downstairs too. D and I will kinda share a massive space, we’ll have a desk each and a bit of a sitting area too. 

vacuuming can totally count. Ya need a clean space to sort in.

Well I think the biggest thing right now is feeling cramped. So I'm gonna get a bunch of crates/tubs/whatever I can find to just literally get everything packed away - like I was moving house! 

Then when I can actually see the space I should be more able to shuffle the furniture around to where I want it! And THEN, I will be able to sort through all the boxes cos a) it's just box by box, not one big overwhelming room, and b) I will actually know where everything is supposed to go!

That sounds like a really good plan @Jynx  make sure ya label crates when ya pack everything up though… I made sure I wrote on all my boxes and crates, like WHAT exactly is in it, not just bedroom! mum just wrote ‘kitchen’. 

id totally come help if I could. I love organizing. Think I’m good at making use of spaces

Yep, my mum went crazy packing straight away @Jynx  packed all her winter clothes and you guess it…. It’s cold now 😂

but yes I will totally cheer you on from afar. Gently poke you when you need some encouragement to keep going. 

They sound like good categories. Do you gotta be tough and throw lots out, or is this more of a gentle sort out?

@Bow 100%. That's why I am so glad we are here to try and bridge a small portion of that gap. One day things will change, I have hope. I am sure you will be a part of that change in some way too. ☺️

I hear you. It's okay to have a long way to go. I have many things I am still working on too and some feel sooo out of reach. But I am hopeful things will shift as I grow and evolve, which is (frustratingly and also excitingly?) a life-long journey. 

Also... congrats on getting the house!!! You must be so happy. Tell me more please! 💛

Thanks @AuntGlow  it’s been a long nearly 6 weeks of searching. It is very much a huge relief. Our current LL gave us a 2 wk extension and that ends next Tuesday! We just now need to find a removalist who can do the job in the short timeframe we have. 

our new place is really nice. We will have a nice home upstairs, free from clutter and stuff. And then downstairs we have a big 2 car garage and heaps of rooms and storage space. Mum will have a sewing area. D and I will have our craft space and hang out area and we can shut the door and ignore the mess! And space for kittens!
