24 HOUR CRISIS SUPPORT – CALL 13 11 14

Re: Winter solstice

I'm gobsmacked at how anyone can prefer cold hard concrete over natural greenery, @Dimity . And sorry to hear that there's more than one neighbour of yours like that 😞

Re: Winter solstice

Glad one has your back re plants @Dimity .. I have been put down and ridiculed for my court garden ... some appreciate it.

Not sure what spoon theory .. is ... spoonful of sugar ... empting the pond spoon by spoon ...lol

I am outraged at the MH stigma among health profession.  It interferes with the quick in and out style of some   It can interfere in their capcity to treat physical issues ... which has been a problem in my family and for me.  I chose a Gp who said she specialised in MH, but then started making outrageous presumptuous statements about my son and treating me very badly. I waited hours to see her, and she took me for a ride.  I have thought of lodging a complaint, but not sure whether it is worth my while.  Yes I will move on ... again ...  when I am desperate to see a doctor ... of pain in groin at moment... but putting it off ... groaning ovaries someone once said.

Hey @NatureLover

Re: Winter solstice

A court garden sounds wonderful @Appleblossom

Hope you persist with getting medical issues addressed and treated. Today I got access to my diagnostic report so with help of Google am more across things.

Learnt about spoon theory from a forum post. Spoons are units of (physical and mental) energy and people compromised by chronic conditions have a finite (often variable) number of spoons each day to deal with.

Re: Winter solstice

I will look up spoon theory ... @Dimity the open communal quality of the forum ... means that we can learn things in an organic way ... which I love.

My court garden grew gradually as I dealt with weeds on the verges ... as it backs onto a waterway ... I am hoping eventually to get others involved in it as a linking green corridor ... some have said it is a great idea ...just crying out for atttention ... different folks ... different opinions.

Take Care ...

Thought of you.  We do care ...

Re: Winter solstice

Thankyou my lovely @Appleblossom.

Indeed.

I'll toddle off to bed feeling a little happier.

Re: Winter solstice

I was writing a long and rather agonised post when the page reset and I lost it all.

My day was not unpleasant as I distracted myself with domestic things but I've also been ruminating. I need to find counselling to help me deal with past and present stuff.

Re: Winter solstice

Saw this quote just now.

Lao Tzu, an ancient Chinese philosopher and the founder of Taoism, once said: "If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present."

Re: Winter solstice

Heartache. Worn out. Battling stigma and self-stigma re physical vs mental health. Floundering when trying to help self and others. Trapped and sinking. Praying for fortitude.
