Re: My Mosaic

What did you have for tea tonight @Snowie ?

Re: My Mosaic

I agree with you @Snowie@Bow would be a wonderful PSW!

What an awful experience for you... have you had any positive supports since this experience?

I think it's great that you're listening to your body today, though I am sorry to hear last night was tough. What have you been doing from the couch? ☺️

Re: My Mosaic

No I have never had a positive experience in the public system @AuntGlow it’s always been traumatic. Something always goes wrong

Re: My Mosaic

Had chicken pasta bake for tea @Bow Easy to make, everyone eats it and left overs for those nights I can't be bothered cooking!

@AuntGlow just been watching tv today amongst napping.

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow Thank you so much for sharing this story with me. I can tell how deeply impacted you have been by your experiences within the medical world and your challenges accessing support. I can also see how much this has inspired you to provide something you haven't so easily received yourself. I feel rather touched by your words, because it's so evident how passionate you are and how much you care about helping others to heal. In time, I promise you will evolve as you continue to heal. It's just a matter of finding more, well, you's. 🥰

And if it's any consolation, I think that you are doing really well with all you have going on.

I would also like you to know that I am currently a peer support worker and have previously been a mental health coach, and I am by no means a completely healed person (and I think that is what helps me to be most empathetic, I also think that supporting others helps my healing). That being said, I know you will come to this in your own time, and you should only do it when it feels right for you (although, that may not exactly feel like 'ready' 😉).

Please keep me updated with all that you do, I am excited to see where your journey takes you - and yes, whatever decisions you make will be the perfect ones for where you're at.

With regards to feeling like you might need more support yourself, what's next on the cards, do you think?

Re: My Mosaic

thank you

So much needs to change in the system @AuntGlow  but that is not new to anyone.  Vulnerable people with backgrounds of trauma and abuse shouldn’t have to experience repeated trauma in accessing support and treatment for their mental health.  If one day I can make someone’s else journey that little bit easier in accessing support then that would be good.

I’ve got a long way to go unfortunately. Can’t support a person when they’ve just attempted when I’m battling that myself. And same with my eating disorder.

what’s next on the cards for me? Tonight? I’ll go to bed soon once I’ve tucked my daughter on. Then I guess we’ll see what the week brings….

Re: My Mosaic
